Chiron's team has advised on transactions valued well over $1 billion in the TMT sector. Before founding Chiron, Mark Sanor gained years of experience focusing on the TMT sector as a corporate finance advisor at Big Four firms, starting in 1996 with Price Waterhouse in Moscow. In 1998 Mark led the TMT sector team at Arthur Andersen Global Corporate Finance for Russia and the CIS, and then the full M&A team for the CIS at Ernst & Young. Sector transaction experience covers a large number of deals, including:

• Government of Russia / World Bank – advised with Commerzbank on a pre–privatization strategy of Svyazinvest
• Government of Turkey – advised with Rothschild on privatization strategy of TurkTelecom
• Svyazinvest – advised the Russian state–controlled holding company on multi–billion dollar mergers of over 70 regional subsidiary telcos into seven
• Pacific DataVision – arranged and invested in round for Nextel co-founderís latest venture
• TV3 – Advised on over $90 mln of transactions to raise equity and debt, a key merger, stock option package for a key executive, as well as supporting the CEO and CFO on an IPO process which led to the sale to Prof-Media for $550 mln
• Mindshare Russia – advised founders on sale to WPP
• Rostelecom / AT&T – advised on purchase of AT&T stake in Telmos
• Corvette Telecom – arranged $10mln in equity for this cable company

Chiron also has experience with venture–stage "emerging companies" in the TMT sector, particularly where the firm can add value based on industry expertise. To date, this has led to situations where Chiron has invested, raise additional capital and has been an active Board member.
